Couple: Chris and Pauline Boon Wedding Date: 14th February, 2011 Venue: Peckforton Castle, Tarporley
What's the best thing about married life? Pauline: "The best thing about married life is the certainty and security it gives to our lives. When we got married we knew the significance of the vows and what they would mean for our future. Married life for us is good but challenging. Chris has been diagnosed with a terminal illness so we are very grateful for every day. We choose to remain positive and having the most wonderful wedding is a memory that means the world to us."
How will you be celebrating your first anniversary? Pauline: "Our first anniversary is Valentine's Day 2012, so the day will already have a feeling of romance. However, we plan to mark the day by staying over at our wedding venue. Chris and I have not been back since we got married because we wanted to save it until our anniversary so it would feel extra special."
How do you feel about making it to the grand final? Pauline: "For us it is an acknowledgement that our day was special enough to be recognised. It is truly wonderful."
Why do you think you should win the competition? Pauline: "We have been through in one year what most married couples would not experience in a lifetime. We entered into marriage understanding fully the commitment needed and we rise to the challenge each and every day. It would be lovely to win as we had a fantastic wedding."

Couple: Lee and Sally Dodd Wedding date: 18th December, 2010 Ceremony venue: Cloud 23, The Hilton Reception venue: The Lowry, Manchester
What's the best thing about married life? Sally: "Marriage has given everything in our life meaning and value. We love sitting in front of the fire in our village pub getting lost in conversation and reminiscing about our wedding day. It was the beginning of something amazing."
How did you celebrate your first anniversary? Sally: "We went back to The Hilton in Manchester and enjoyed a cocktail in Cloud 23 where we had our ceremony - we also had our first date there. Although you can't re-live your wedding day, going back to the place where we said our vows in front of family and friends was very emotional."
How do you feel about making it to the grand final? Sally: "Very excited! We are also quite surprised, every wedding is wonderful in its own way so to know people voted for us is really special."
Why do you think you should win the competition? Sally: "Our wedding was everything we could have wished for and the perfect start to married life, so to win the weekend away would be lovely. We would treat it as our honeymoon, as we were unable to go on ours, and we would sit in front of a different fireplace, reminiscing once again about the happiest day of our lives."

Couple: Joe and Suzy Weeks Wedding date: 16th April, 2011 Ceremony venue: Manchester Town Hall Reception venue: The Castlefield Rooms, Castlefield
What's the best thing about married life? Suzy: "I asked Joe this, and he said, "knowing that I've got you forever and ever". I love referring to Joe as my husband and Joe says the same about calling me his wife. The best thing however, is knowing we are a team and that we're going to grow old together."
How will you be celebrating your first anniversary? Suzy: "We think we will recreate our wedding meal by cooking it together at home. Afterwards, we will go through our photo albums and watch our wedding video, probably with a bottle of bubbly. Either that, or go out partying with the bridesmaids as it was one of their birthdays on the day we got married."
How do you feel about making it to the grand final? Suzy: "We're really pleased and excited about being in the final and a bit surprised!"
Why do you think you should win the competition? Suzy: "We tried to make our guests feel involved in our day and wanted everyone to share our happiness. Lots of our guests said the day was filled with love, fun and laughter, that's exactly how we wanted it to feel."

Couple: Simon and Victoria Tague Wedding date: 2nd July, 2011 Ceremony venue: St Mark's Church, Worsley Reception venue: The Court House, Worsley
What is the best thing about married life? Victoria: "In all honesty, not too much has changed in our life since getting married. We have been together for seven years and already had a home together. However, it is an amazing feeling to know that we have made the commitment to spend the rest of our lives together."
How will you be celebrating your first anniversary? Victoria: "We have discussed returning to Florence where we honeymooned. I think we would both be happy with an evening at home with a candlelit dinner and some champagne; as long as we are together, we don't mind where it is spent."
How do you feel about making it to the grand final? Victoria: "We are so happy to have made it to the grand final and are very grateful to all the people who have helped us get to this stage. We never imagined being considered contenders for our heat, never mind making it to the final. We are both very happy."
Why do you think you should win the competition? Victoria: "We don't think we are any more deserving than the other people and are just very grateful to have come this far. However, we would love to win the competition due to the hard work that went into planning our dream day."
